Job description
Our client is seeking a hands-on DevOps / Cloud Support Engineer to take ownership of production AWS environments and existing CI/CD pipelines within a mature enterprise environment. This role sits between DevOps and backend engineering, with a strong emphasis on operational support, troubleshooting, reliability, and developer enablement rather than greenfield infrastructure builds.
The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for development teams, assisting with infrastructure, deployment, and pipeline-related issues while ensuring stable and reliable production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support and maintain AWS-based production environments Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and CI/CD pipeline issues Provide operational support and guidance to development teams Manage and maintain existing Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines Assist with containerized backend service deployments and support Investigate production incidents and drive issue resolution Ensure platform reliability, stability, and operational efficiency Work within a restricted enterprise AWS environment with governed access controls Collaborate with developers to improve deployment processes and operational practices Contribute to backend-related tasks where required, primarily within C# environments Requirements Required Skills & Experience Diploma in Software Development or Similar 4+ Years Experience in Backend DevOps (C#) with Multicloud exposure (Azure and AWS) Strong hands-on AWS production support experience Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar platforms Experience supporting containerized applications and backend services Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across infrastructure and deployment environments Experience supporting developers and resolving operational issues Exposure to backend development using C# or similar technologies Comfortable working within enterprise governance and restricted-access cloud environments Strong understanding of operational support and system reliability principles Ideal Candidate Profile DevOps / Cloud Engineer with a support and operational ownership mindset Comfortable working across both infrastructure and development support functions Able to balance technical troubleshooting with stakeholder support Not purely infrastructure/platform focused Not purely backend development focused Enjoys maintaining, improving, and supporting mature environments rather than only building from scratch Technical Environment AWS Cloud Infrastructure Azure DevOps CI/CD Pipelines Containerised Backend Services C# Backend Environment Enterprise Cloud Governance & Restricted Access Environments
