Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced The ERP Platform Release Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, governing, and delivering the end-to-end release lifecycle for the organization's ERP platform and its associated applications, integrations, and technology components. This role ensures that ERP enhancements, configuration changes, upgrades, patches, and project deliverables are deployed in a controlled, predictable, and business-aligned manner while minimizing operational risk and business disruption.

Acting as the central point of coordination, the ERP Platform Release Manager collaborates with ERP functional teams, infrastructure teams, integration specialists, business stakeholders, project managers, vendors, and service owners to ensure successful release planning, deployment, communication, and adoption across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Release Planning & Governance Own and manage the ERP release management lifecycle from planning through deployment and post-release review. Develop and maintain the ERP release calendar, ensuring alignment across multiple projects, enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance activities. Coordinate deployment of ERP enhancements, patches, hotfixes, configuration changes, and project releases.

Ensure releases comply with organizational governance, quality standards, and change management policies. Define release scope, timelines, dependencies, milestones, and deployment strategies. Lead release readiness reviews and obtain required approvals prior to production deployment. Change & Deployment Management Coordinate resources supporting Change Management and continuous improvement initiatives across the ERP landscape.

Ensure alignment between release activities, IT Change Management processes, and Service Owners. Manage release dependencies, risks, resource conflicts, and scheduling constraints across multiple teams. Coordinate production deployments while minimizing disruption to business operations. Ensure rollback, recovery, and contingency plans are documented, validated, and tested before deployment.

Conduct post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future release processes. Environment & Testing Coordination Coordinate environment readiness for development, testing, UAT, and production releases. Work closely with application, infrastructure, database, integration, and testing teams to ensure deployment readiness.

Ensure release components are fully tested and approved prior to production implementation. Monitor release quality and resolve deployment issues through effective coordination. Stakeholder & Vendor Management Serve as the primary point of contact for ERP release coordination across business and IT organizations. Partner with ERP Product Owners, Application Managers, Project Managers, Business Process Owners, Infrastructure Teams, and Service Owners.

Coordinate activities performed by external vendors, implementation partners, and system integrators. Provide regular release status updates, executive reporting, and risk communications to leadership and key stakeholders. Facilitate release planning meetings, deployment reviews, and stakeholder communications. Risk, Compliance & Continuous Improvement Identify release risks, assess business impacts, and implement mitigation strategies.

Ensure compliance with IT governance, audit requirements, security policies, and regulatory standards. Maintain release documentation, deployment records, and audit evidence. Drive continuous improvement of release management processes, automation opportunities, and governance practices. Promote standardization and best practices across ERP release management.

Requirements

Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline. Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in Release Management, ERP Application Management, IT Service Management, or Project Management. Proven experience managing enterprise ERP releases, preferably within Infor M3 environments.

Experience supporting ERP platforms such as Infor M3, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, or similar enterprise applications. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams within complex enterprise environments. Strong understanding of ERP implementation, upgrade, maintenance, and support processes. Experience managing multiple concurrent releases across integrated business applications.

Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications

ITIL Foundation or ITIL 4 Certification. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum Certification. Experience with enterprise integration platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft, or Infor ION. Experience in global, multi-country ERP environments. Experience with cloud and hybrid ERP deployment models. Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Infor M3, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, or equivalent enterprise platforms.
