Job description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Network operation Design and Planning:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess network operation, WAN requirements and design network solutions that align with business goals.
  • Plan internet, extranet, VPN and POS connectivity architecture, including the selection of WAN technologies, such as MPLS, SD-WAN, and Internet-based solutions.
  1. Network Implementation:
  • Responsible for all WAN connectivity and remote site hardware implementation project.
  • Deploy and configure network operation hardware and technologies, including routers, switches, WAN optimization devices, and VPN solutions.
  • Establish and maintain WAN connectivity among remote sites, data centers and 3rd parties.
  • Responsible for deploying any required change and upgrade in network access control used to aggregate QNBAA POS traffic.
  1. Network operation and WAN Security:
  • Implement and enforce security measures and access controls to protect network operation equipment and WAN from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
  • Monitor WAN traffic for anomalies and security breaches.
  • Ensure that all QNBAA network operation equipment vulnerabilities is mitigated by planning and implement the proper actions to close them.
  1. Network Monitoring and Optimization:
  • Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and address WAN performance issues.
  • Optimize WAN performance, bandwidth management, and resource utilization.
  • Perform Day to Day network monitoring and provide needed reports.
  1. Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Responsible for all QNBAA network operation includes DR connectivity, QNBAA remote branches, remote ATMs , POS and extranet connectivity.
  • Implement network monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve network issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operation equipment and WAN-related issues, analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and IT teams for operation and WAN problems.
  • Troubleshoot network problems, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage the overall daily Network Operations activity to ensure a smooth, efficient, and straight forward process is conducted.
  • Provide the needed escalation for network incident according to severity and prepare incident reports.
  1. Vendor and Service Provider Coordination:
  • Collaborate with WAN service providers and network operation equipment vendors to procure network services, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
  • Evaluate and select WAN technologies and tools.
  • Participate in POC’s, Evaluation and selection of networking technologies and tools to meet organizational needs.
  • Participate in the Preparation of needed RFPs based on recommended design and best practice,
  • prepare Network availability monthly and quarterly reports to be reviewed by department head
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network operation equipment, WAN configurations, diagrams, and inventory.
  • Generate reports on WAN performance, security incidents, and incident resolutions for stakeholders.
  • Prepare network configuration guides, documentation to be reviewed by team head as network changes occur.
  • Maintain all network operation’ records/files such as Backup for Network HW & SW
  1. Capacity Planning:
  • Monitor WAN traffic and usage patterns, assess capacity requirements, and plan for WAN upgrades or expansions based on business needs.
  1. Network operation, WAN Policy and Compliance:
  • Ensure network operation, WAN practices comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Participate in audits and assessments as required.
  • Participate in PCI compliance practice.
  1. Disaster Recovery and Redundancy:
  • Participate in regular BCP, analyze and implement needed enhancement.
  • propose BCP procedure updates to ensure the efficiency of BCP activities
  1. Network operation budgeting and invoicing.
  • Review OPEX invoicing and provide technical feedback in payment Cycle
  • Ensure the proper utilization of the assigned OPEX annual budget
  1. Ensure correct adoption of policies and procedures to guarantee that QNB ALAHLI business is conducted in compliance with Local Laws, Internal rules and regulations, as well as, International Standards.
  2. Ensure the correct functioning and implementation of Permanent Supervision system, compliance, operational risk & workplace success guidelines whenever & wherever possible
