Job Description Summary: The Advisor IT Administration and Strategy Execution serves as a key operational and strategic leader within the IT division, responsible for financial stewardship, strategic planning support, enterprise reporting, and execution of change initiatives. This role acts as the primary point of coordination for IT financial management and strategic tracking, ensuring transparency, discipline, and alignment between IT leadership, Finance partners, and enterprise stakeholders.
The position requires a leader who can think strategically, execute tactically, and drive clarity through structure, balancing long-term planning with the rigor of day-to-day execution. This individual will lead complex financial and strategic workflows, support transformation initiatives, and provide high-quality insights to IT and enterprise leadership.
Responsibilities
IT Financial Management & Planning Serve as the primary financial liaison for IT administrative and strategic areas, including: Lead annual IT operating and capital budgeting activities (planning, development, and submission) in partnership with IT leaders and Finance Own monthly financial reviews, variance analysis, forecasting, and executive-ready summaries Act as the conduit between IT and Finance partners, ensuring alignment, clarity, and timely communication Support capital planning and portfolio prioritization, including business case development and funding governance Track financial performance of strategic initiatives, ensuring adherence to approved funding and outcomes Identify opportunities for financial optimization, reinvestment, and risk mitigation Strategic Planning, Tracking & Reporting Support enterprise and IT-wide strategy execution by: Maintaining and updating corporate and IT dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting Tracking progress against IT strategic pillars, roadmaps, and transformation initiatives Coordinating inputs for enterprise planning cycles, board-level reporting, and leadership reviews Ensuring consistency of metrics, definitions, and reporting narratives across IT Transformation & Change Enablement Enable effective delivery of internal change efforts by: Supporting large-scale IT transformation and organizational change initiatives Applying structured change management principles to ensure adoption and sustainability Partnering with leaders to define success measures, milestones, and communication plans Providing execution rigor across initiatives spanning people, process, and technology changes Project & Initiative Management Provide disciplined execution support across administrative and strategic initiatives: Lead or support cross-functional projects with defined scope, timelines, and outcomes Apply project and portfolio management practices to ensure accountability and progress Facilitate leadership routines (planning sessions, execution reviews, retrospectives) Build and maintain execution artifacts such as roadmaps, workplans, risk logs, and decision records Strategic Advisory & Leadership Support Serve as a trusted advisor to the Director and IT leaders on financial, operational, and strategic matters Translate complex data into clear, executive-level insights and narratives Prepare leadership presentations, executive briefings, and strategic communications Influence without authority in a matrixed environment to drive outcomes Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (Required) Additional Job Description: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related field 7+ years of progressive experience in IT administration, financial management, strategy execution, or PMO functions Demonstrated experience managing large, complex budgets and executive financial reporting Strong project management experience supporting enterprise-level initiatives SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE Technical & Professional IT financial management and capital planning Budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis Strategic planning and execution tracking Project and portfolio management methodologies Enterprise reporting and dashboard development Leadership & Behavioral Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline Ability to operate effectively at both tactical and executive levels Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills High attention to detail with the ability to synthesize big-picture insights Comfort navigating ambiguity and driving structure Proven ability to lead change and influence outcomes DESIRED ATTRIBUTES Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into disciplined execution Strong financial acumen with confidence leading budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning discussions Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Finance, IT leaders, and enterprise stakeholders Proven project and initiative management skills across complex, cross‑functional environments Experience supporting organizational transformation and applying change management principles Highly organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent executive communication and presentation capabilities Ability to influence without authority and operate effectively in a matrixed organization Proactive problem solver with a bias for action and continuous improvement High integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive information BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES This section is for leadership jobs only.
