Legal Assistant Location: Swansea Contract: Permanent, Full-time Hours: 35 hours, Monday – Friday , 9am – 5pm Start Date: ASAP Are you detail-driven and proactive looking to build a long-term career in a respected and supportive legal team? Based in our Swansea office, this is an exciting opportunity for a Legal Assistant to support the Wills, Trust and Estate Disputes team on a permanent basis. You’ll work closely with Fee Earners to support the day-to-day management of contentious probate, trust, and estate dispute matters, helping to keep work progressing efficiently while ensuring clients receive a professional, responsive, and high-quality service.

A willingness to travel and spend the day away from your usual place of work is therefore required.
What Will You Be Doing? Be the support behind every matter – help Fee Earners stay organised, manage workloads effectively, and support the smooth progression of contentious probate, trust, and estate dispute matters. Keep legal work moving – draft correspondence and documents, conduct legal research, and support day-to-day case progression with accuracy and care.
Take ownership of case administration – manage file opening, administration, billing, and record keeping to ensure matters remain accurate, compliant, and up to date. Create a positive first impression – handle new enquiries professionally and support a seamless client onboarding experience. Keep communication flowing – liaise confidently and professionally with clients, colleagues, and third parties to ensure updates, queries, and next steps are handled promptly.
Support excellent client service – contribute to improved efficiency, client care, and case progression across the Wills, Trust and Estate Disputes team.
Requirements
A law degree or equivalent legal qualification. Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Highly motivated, proactive, and resourceful in your approach. Able to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Confident taking ownership of tasks and managing competing priorities effectively. A team player with flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to support colleagues. A strong client care focus with a professional, approachable manner.
