Job description

Black & Grey HR is hiring for a renowned textile and handmade carpet manufacturing company with a strong domestic and international presence. Our client is seeking a Senior Manager – Hand Knotted Carpet Production to oversee weaving operations, enhance production capacity, maintain quality standards, and drive workforce development across multiple weaving locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead hand-knotted carpet production activities across weaving centres, ensuring output targets and production timelines are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor weaving quality and implement corrective measures to minimize defects, rejections, and rework.
  • Coordinate loom utilization, material availability, and workforce allocation to support efficient production planning.
  • Drive capacity expansion initiatives through the development of new weaving centres and artisan engagement programs.
  • Introduce process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency across weaving operations.
  • Design and deliver training programs to improve weaver skills, productivity, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Work closely with design, planning, quality, and finishing teams to ensure seamless order execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Track production performance, workforce productivity, and quality metrics, providing regular reports to management.
  • Support strategic initiatives related to workforce planning, operational scaling, and production optimization.

Requirements

  • Degree in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related discipline. - 10+ years of experience managing hand-knotted carpet manufacturing and weaving operations.
  • Strong understanding of carpet construction, weaving techniques, knotting standards, yarn specifications, and quality parameters.
  • Proven experience leading large teams of skilled artisans and production personnel.
  • Demonstrated success in improving production output, reducing quality issues, and expanding weaving capacity.
  • Experience working with decentralized weaving units or artisan networks will be an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder management capabilities.
