About the Position As a senior software engineering expert, you will lead AI-assisted engineering activities for Meridian and establish repeatable SDLC patterns for analysing, validating, documenting, and evolving complex cloud software stacks. With a particular focus on Open. Stack-derived services and large-scale software repositories, you will define how AI development platforms, coding agents, and enterprise-approved open-source or open-weight models are integrated into engineering workflows. You will use these capabilities to accelerate code understanding, build and dependency analysis, refactoring, technical documentation, and software handover while ensuring confidentiality, traceability, and high-quality engineering evidence. In this role, you will: Define and lead AI-assisted SDLC patterns for repository intake, code exploration, service mapping, build diagnosis, documentation, and engineering evidence generation. Guide the analysis of Open. Stack-derived control-plane services, APIs, dependencies, integration flows, and build structures across multiple repositories and teams. Evaluate and operationalize AI development platforms, coding agents, and approved open-weight or Chinese coding model stacks for secure enterprise use cases. Establish human-in-the-loop controls, quality gates, prompt libraries, reusable review patterns, and evidence standards for AI-generated engineering outputs. Coach software engineers and platform specialists on the safe and effective use of AI tools while coordinating with architecture, security, DevOps, and testing teams. Produce senior stakeholder-ready artefacts including transition risks, service decomposition views, codebase maturity observations, and recommended engineering actions. Must-Have Skills 8+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or technical architecture roles, with proven ownership of complex engineering workstreams. Strong hands-on coding skills in Python plus at least one backend or systems language such as Go, Java, C, C++, or Rust. Deep practical experience using AI coding agents and LLM-enabled SDLC workflows for large codebases, technical documentation, and engineering acceleration. Strong understanding of Open. Stack-derived cloud software architectures, including modular service decomposition, control-plane services, APIs, dependencies, integration flows, and build structures. Good understanding of CI/CD, Kubernetes-based delivery, and platform operations. Ability to lead senior engineers in ambiguous environments, critically challenge AI-generated outputs, and convert incomplete evidence into structured and actionable engineering decisions. Experience working in high-accountability and confidentiality-sensitive enterprise programs where auditability, traceability, and sovereignty constraints are mandatory. Nice-to-Have Skills Practical experience with AI development environments such as Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, Continue, Cline, or VS Code-based extensions connected to enterprise-approved model endpoints. Experience with open-source, open-weight, or Chinese coding-capable models such as Deep. Seek Coder, Qwen/Qwen-Coder, Code. GeeX, Star. Coder, Code Llama, Mistral, or comparable models operated through approved controls. Experience with agentic and SDLC workflow components such as Lang. Graph, OpenAI Agents SDK, Auto. Gen, Llama. Index, RAG pipelines, evaluation loops, and structured tool-calling patterns. Experience with engineering environments including GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Helm, Docker, Kubernetes, private package registries, and terminal-native automation workflows. Experience designing human-in-the-loop controls, quality gates, prompt libraries, reusable review patterns, or evidence standards for AI-assisted engineering. Experience evaluating and operationalizing AI development platforms and coding-model stacks for secure enterprise environments. Experience with sovereign software environments, software handover, transition readiness, or technical due diligence activities. Experience coaching engineers or platform specialists in the safe and effective use of AI-assisted development tools. Experience working across architecture, security, DevOps, software engineering, platform engineering, and testing teams.
