** Position Summary **

The Cancer Registry Clerk assists with general clerical functions of the Cancer Registry while demonstrating interest in the field of Cancer Registration to acquire the CTR certification. ** Qualifications **

Education Required • Must complete in-house orientation program • High School graduate or equivalent. • Holds or is pursuing an Associate’s or college Degree. • Enrolled or under consideration for enrollment in an NCRA accredited program.

Experience And Skills •Excellent interpersonal skills, can work cohesively with Team and independently • Speaks, reads and writes English. • Work experience in the field of oncology a plus Previous Medical Records/Health Information experience helpful, • Knowledge of Medical Terminology, anatomy and physiology highly preferred. • General computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). • Ability to learn quickly and follow direction.

License/Certifications

Working Conditions • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn when required • Sitting in front of a computer for long periods of time. • Ability to lift 15 pounds. • Ability to bend, reach, and retrieve files. • Frequent telephone usage.
