Role summary; The Farm Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and supervision of day-to-day farming operations to ensure efficient, productive and sustainable agricultural activities. Key Responsibilities;
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily farm operations, including land preparation, planting, crop maintenance, and harvesting.
- Monitor crop growth and field conditions, and report any pest, disease, or nutrient-related issues.
- Support the implementation of good agricultural practices and ensure compliance with company production standards.
- Supervise field workers and casual laborers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate records of farm activities, input usage, labor deployment, and production outputs.
- Assist in managing agricultural inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, agrochemicals, and equipment.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of farm machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Participate in farmer engagement, training, and extension activities as required.
- Assist with data collection and reporting for farm performance, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company policies on the farm.
- Support post-harvest activities, including drying, storage, quality control, and inventory management.
- Identify operational challenges and provide recommendations for improving farm productivity and efficiency.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management to support the achievement of the company’s agricultural objectives.
