Job description

Possibly The Most Awesome Full Time Project Coordinator Job Ever How ‘bout we skip right ahead to the juicy part? The business is located in Wilston, Brisbane. We are biased — but we are pretty sure they are the most awesome team to work with, ever. They're really passionate about investing in their people (you will see what we mean when you interview with them).

Honestly, the job is not all roses and puppy dogs — there is some good news and there is some bad news. Let’s get the bad news out of the way first: The tempo is full on! If you like a fast pace work environment with on the fly decision making, you’ll be in your flow. However, if you are seeking a job where you can wait for problems to fix themselves, play the blame game or not manage your time then this is no longer the “Most Awesome” full time Project Coordinator job ever, it is now the “suckiest” Project Coordinator job ever.

Review point

  1. Now let’s talk about the good stuff: Your office is on the third floor. Just think of the amazing cardio you will get walking up two flights of stairs every day - yeah, that’s right, basically a free gym membership comes with the job! Okay, so that part is maybe not the greatest, but there are some (truly) great things... The work is fun, fresh and dynamic. You will be working directly with their Project Manager and assisting him with a mix of projects and support. They aren’t big on stress. So, while they will expect you to work efficiently and get things done, they focus on open communication and getting things done right the first go around. You will experience things, do things, and make decisions on things that no big stuffy company would ever allow you to do. You don’t need to be skilled at ping pong or laser tag or bowling or escaping a room or dressing up in fugly clothes and singing Bohemian Rhapsody on Karaoke (Their ping pong skills are improving!), but you will likely be doing all of those things. Every few months they do something fun or goofy or both as a team. Now, let’s talk about the job requirements: You need to be the type person who gets joy out of getting things done. Every day, you will bang out a list of stuff. Fun stuff. Important stuff. Necessary stuff. You will be on the computer a lot. So, an understanding of email, navigating the web, and other computer-based stuff will be necessary You will be on the phone a lot. So, you need to enjoying talking with people and giving/getting direction. You need to be a person who loves to deliver remarkable experiences to our customers. You know, you need to be someone who feels good by making them feel good You need to nail down the details. You don’t need to race through work and get things done half arsed (they figured that one out themselves). They need you to take the time to get them done right. The company will want you to be meticulous in your work. If you are shy or quiet (which actually is perfect for them) that is totally cool. They are not looking for the life of the party…in fact, quite the opposite. They are looking for a good, fun person, who gets stuff done. (Oh and they occasionally swear at the office…not much…but sometimes a joke is only funny with an F-bomb). Typical daily activities include: Keeping customers in the loop Booking in jobs Scheduling trades Ordering materials and equipment Monitoring budgets Meeting financial targets Basically making sure that the right people and the right materials are in the right place at the right time. In addition to being a detailed person, you must follow systems and processes. In fact, just to prove that you are detailed oriented and can follow procedures, when you apply for this position in the subject line of the email you must include “I have found my peeps” in the subject line. Yep, that’s our little trick to sort out the people who blanket send their resume to anyone and everyone, from the folks (that’s you) who are truly interested in this position. the business is looking to bring their new colleague on board as soon as possible, but they will spend the necessary time to find the best fit both in abilities and culturally. One thing that will give you a BIG leg up (but is optional) is to send a quick video in along with your resume. In your video tell us why you think you’re perfect for this job and why you will rock this position. This is purely for the business to get a sense of your personality. And if you decide not to send a video (that’s ok), please tell us why you chose not to send in a video. Email us at: resumes@jamesvale.com.au We can’t wait to meet you!!!
