Mechanical Engineer (Project Department) Industry: Pharma / Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Experience: 4–7 Years Department: Projects Location: Buttibori Manufacturing Plant Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for the Project Department in a pharmaceutical manufacturing company. The candidate will be responsible for execution, installation, commissioning, and maintenance support of mechanical systems and utilities related to plant projects while ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Execute mechanical project activities as per project timelines and approved drawings. Handle installation, erection, testing, and commissioning of process equipment and utility systems. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, consultants, and internal departments for smooth project execution. Prepare and review technical documents, BOQ, layouts, equipment specifications, and project reports.

Supervise fabrication and piping works including SS pipelines, utility lines, and process connections. Monitor project progress and ensure completion within budget and schedule. Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety standards, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements. Support HVAC, water systems, compressed air, steam, chilled water, and other utility-related projects.

Participate in FAT/SAT, equipment qualification, and validation activities. Troubleshoot mechanical issues during project execution and commissioning. Maintain project documentation including drawings, manuals, and completion reports. Coordinate with production, engineering, QA, and maintenance teams during project activities.

Required Skills

Knowledge of pharmaceutical plant equipment and utility systems. Experience in piping, fabrication, HVAC coordination, and utility projects. Understanding of GMP, cGMP, and safety practices. Ability to read P&ID, GA drawings, and mechanical layouts. Good vendor and contractor management skills. Strong troubleshooting and project coordination abilities.

Proficiency in AutoCAD/MS Office preferred. Educational Qualification B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Experience 4–7 years of experience in Project Department of Pharma/API/Formulation industry. Preferred Candidate Profile Experience in greenfield/brownfield pharma projects will be preferred. Good communication and team coordination skills.

Ability to handle multiple projects and site activities efficiently.
