Job description
As the FPSO Preservation Engineering will demonstrate and execute a number of activities a, but not limited to, as per below:
- The service holder to oversee and ensure that all preservation activities are executed according to project requirements, company guidelines, supervise preservation tasks for mechanical, instrumentation, piping and structural components of the FPSO. Verify correct storage and handling of equipment to prevent contamination and damage.
- The service holder should conduct daily, weekly and monthly inspection of preserved equipment and systems. Monitor temperature, humidity and environmental conditions in storage areas. Verify the rotating equipment is turned at regular intervals to prevent bearing damage. Ensure proper tagging and preservation status tracking of all critical equipment.
- The service holder will ensure preservation activities with company/project specifications standard. Conduct preservation audits and checks to identify any deviations or non-conformances. Work with QA/QC teams to rectify issues and maintain compliance with preservation requirements.
- The service holder will coordinate with construction, commissioning, maintenance and contractor teams to schedule preservation activities, working closely with logistics teams to ensure proper transportation and storage of preserved equipment. Communicate with contractors and vendors to enforce preservation equipment.
- The service holder will maintain daily logs and preservation records, including equipment condition reports. Prepare weekly and monthly reports on preservations status for management and stakeholders. Ensure proper handover documentation for commissioning and operational teams.
- The service holder will supervise final preservation checks before FPSO sail-away to ensure no damage during transit.
- Assist in de-preservation activities before equipment commissioning. Ensure all equipment is in optimal condition before handover to operations teams.
- The Service holder is also accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour about HSSE rules & requirements and for implementing HSE rules within his area of responsibility.
- Promote a high level HSE culture within his team and during relations with stakeholders.
- Ensure required HSE competencies of the team.
Requirements
- Professional Experience (years): 15 in Oil & Gas industry and major deep Offshore Projects / Fields
- Experience within project or/and in similar position (years): 10 years minimum with engineering duties
- Qualification: Engineer discipline, or equivalent
- Languages: French and English
