Summary Job Description: Surgical Tech

• Outpatient Surgery PRN; First Shift Job Description: The surgical technologist is a technically trained person who functions as a member of the surgical team and performs under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in the Operating Room.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist program required. Good clinical, organizational, communication, customer service and critical thinking skills required. Ability to work in a stressful environment required.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in Surgical Technology preferred. Recent experience as a surgical tech in an Acute Care facility preferred. BLS preferred upon hire; required within 90 days.
