Head Guide – Luxury Safari Lodge – Vaalwater Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Head Guide to lead and mentor a team of field guides at a luxury safari lodge in Vaalwater. This live-in role requires a professional who can deliver exceptional guest experiences while ensuring safe and high-quality guiding operations and supporting conservation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of field guides, fostering skills development and high performance
- Conduct game drives, bush walks, and interpretive activities for guests
- Oversee vehicle and workshop operations, ensuring safety and maintenance standards
- Coordinate incidents and respond to operational challenges effectively
- Train and support junior guides to maintain consistent quality and service Minimum Requirements:
- FGASA Level 2 & Trails Guide (essential)
- ARH & Rifle Proficiency, First Aid Level 2, Driver’s License & Pr-DP
- Previous experience as Assistant Head Guide or Head Guide
- Strong leadership, training, and people management skills
