Student Nurse Academy (SNA) – Fall 2026 - Level 1

Location; Deaconess Illinois Medical Center, Marion IL Deaconess Illinois Crossroads Hospital, Mount Vernon IL

Fall Session: August 4th - October 25th

Students gain hands-on experience working directly with patients, increasing their comfort level in the hospital setting while building confidence in essential clinical skills. These experiences include communicating with patients and the care team, monitoring vital signs, and performing duties delegated by licensed RN staff. Additionally, academy students develop strong relationships with Deaconess staff and nursing leadership, opening the door to expanded career opportunities, professional mentorship, and long-term employment with Deaconess following graduation.
