Part-Time Kennel Assistant VCA Pahle Animal Hospital – West Allis, WI Do you love animals and enjoy working in a fast-paced veterinary environment? VCA Pahle Animal Hospital is looking for a dependable, compassionate Part-Time Kennel Assistant to join our team! As a Kennel Assistant, you'll play an important role in providing exceptional care for our hospitalized and boarding patients while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming hospital environment.
You'll also help create a fun, enriching, and safe experience for our Doggy Day Care patients.
Responsibilities include
Providing compassionate care to boarding and hospitalized pets Supervising and engaging dogs participating in our Doggy Day Care program Monitoring dog behavior to ensure safe and positive group play Feeding, walking, exercising, and providing enrichment activities for dogs Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, play areas, treatment areas, and hospital spaces Laundry, dishes, and general housekeeping duties Assisting the veterinary team with basic patient care as needed Ensuring all pets are comfortable, clean, and well cared for What we're looking for: A genuine passion for animal care and welfare A positive attitude and strong work ethic Dependability and punctuality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain active throughout your shift Availability Requirements: Evening availability is required Weekend availability is required Holiday availability is required Flexibility to help cover additional shifts is a plus Veterinary or animal care experience is preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right person who is enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to learn.
