Nurse Practitioner | Acute Addiction Treatment Unit |Full-Time Flex Night Shift (25440)

The Nurse Practitioner renders evidence-based, stigma-free addiction medicine care to patients within the hospital setting. This position manages the inpatient withdrawal management unit and is responsible for assessment and treatment of patients with substance use disorders. This position will 1) evaluate and admit patients who meet criteria for an ATU admission from the emergency department, 2) perform bedside assessments and cross-cover for admitted patients on the ATU overnight.

The Nurse Practitioner must demonstrate knowledge and skills of the principles of addiction medicine, including treatment of withdrawal for alcohol, benzodiazepines, and opioids, as well as medication for opioid use disorder, as well as core management of adult internal medicine topics.
