Required Skills

& Experience Flight Controls & Aircraft Systems

  • Experience with Fly-By-Wire (FBW) and/or Secondary Flight Control Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of system integration and aircraft systems, including:
  • Electrical interfaces
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Avionics systems
  • Experience integrating aircraft systems across multidisciplinary engineering teams. Certification & Systems Engineering
  • Experience with ARP4754 development processes and Part 25 certification standards.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Requirements development
  • Requirements management
  • Validation and Verification (V&V)
  • Experience preparing technical documentation, certification deliverables, and test reports. Testing & Troubleshooting
  • Experience executing and reviewing:
  • Rig testing
  • Aircraft-level testing
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to investigate in-service issues and implement corrective actions. Good to Have Skills
  • Experience with:
  • MATLAB
  • Simulink
  • Stateflow modeling and simulation
  • Knowledge of actuator dynamics, including:
  • Electromechanical systems
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Familiarity with engineering tools such as:
  • CATIA
  • ADAMS
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS.
  • Exposure to:
  • Trade studies
  • Lifecycle cost analysis
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
  • Experience supporting flight test campaigns or certification activities.

Key Responsibilities

System Integration & Development

  • Lead the integration of Fly-By-Wire and Secondary Flight Control Systems on aircraft platforms.
  • Define, develop, and manage system-level requirements compliant with ARP4754 and Part 25 certification standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to establish:
  • Design concepts
  • Control strategies
  • System architectures Engineering Analysis & Verification
  • Perform and review:
  • Feasibility studies
  • Trade-off analyses
  • Lifecycle cost evaluations
  • Develop and execute V&V activities, including:
  • Test procedures
  • Rig testing
  • Aircraft-level testing Certification & Documentation
  • Prepare and review:
  • Technical documentation
  • Test reports
  • Certification deliverables
  • Support aircraft certification activities by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
  • Investigate and resolve aircraft system issues through:
  • Troubleshooting
  • Root cause analysis
  • Corrective action implementation
  • Ensure alignment with:
  • Company standards
  • Design processes
  • Quality requirements Collaboration & Program Support
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including:
  • Avionics teams
  • Hydraulics teams
  • Structures teams
  • Flight test teams
  • Provide onsite support at:
  • Manufacturing facilities
  • Final assembly lines
  • Flight test centers
  • Contribute to future aircraft programs, including Ecojet, through innovation and advanced system development.
