SAPS Administrator

Supporting daily operational continuity and administrative efficiency, this role serves as the central internal contact for SAP queries and master data integrity. The position ensures structured compliance across customer, supplier, product, and pricing data while maintaining strict controls over user access and system documentation.

Transitioning through a structured two-phase scope, the post initially combines core switchboard and general administrative functions with foundational SAP user support and master data governance. In the secondary phase, the operational scope expands to include creditors management, financial reconciliations, and payment preparation.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary internal contact for routine SAP queries, user access coordination, and register maintenance. Create, review, and maintain customer, supplier, product, and pricing master data while ensuring proper supporting approvals. Load new business partners onto the system and manage end-to-end credit application procedures.

Audit master data records to prevent duplicate, inaccurate, or incomplete entries and retain audit trails. Deliver initial and refresher SAP training to staff to correct operational errors and support administrative controls. Monitor transaction integrity for blocked, incomplete, or outstanding items and guide departments on error resolution.

Manage reception, switchboard, filing, consumable purchasing, stationery, couriers, and archive records. Execute creditors functions up to account reconciliation and payment preparation during Phase 2.

Requirements

Essential Requirements Tertiary qualification (or actively studying towards second year) in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, business administration, or a related field. Practical hands-on experience working within SAP. Strong Microsoft Excel capability. High attention to detail with proven problem-solving and communication abilities.
