Meyer Utility Structures is searching for a Plate (Steel) Buyer for our Clinton Illinois and Tulsa Oklahoma plant. The plate buyer purchases metal plates (such as steel or aluminum) for the Meyer Clinton and Tulsa plants. In this role, you will source material, negotiate with suppliers, manage inventory levels, ensure quality standards, and coordinate deliveries to meet production schedules.
Also, the buyer will often work closely with engineering, logistics, material planner, and production staff to ensure cost-effective and timely material acquisition.
