Job description

JOB Review The NPI Manager is responsible for leading New Product Introduction, product transfer, and manufacturing-related projects from initiation through launch. This role coordinates cross-functional resources, manages project schedules and budgets, identifies risks, and ensures successful delivery of project objectives related to quality, cost, and timeline.

Primary Responsibilities 1.Project Management Lead assigned NPI, product transfer, localization, and manufacturing projects from planning through production launch. Develop, maintain, and execute project plans to achieve committed launch dates and business objectives. Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Sourcing, Finance, and Logistics.

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation actions to ensure successful project execution. Escalate critical issues and risks through appropriate management channels when required. 2.Budget and Cost Management Manage project budgets and ensure expenditure remain within approved limits. Analyze product standard costs and drive actions to achieve target product costs Monitor project financial performance and provide regular budget status updates. 3. Product Introduction and Manufacturing Support Support new product introduction activities, including qualification builds, pilot runs, and production readiness reviews. Coordinate supply chain readiness, supplier qualifications, and material availability to support project schedules. Support supply chain localization, supplier transfers and tooling transfers. Coordinate product retirement activities (RIP) and ensure smooth phase-out execution. 4.System and Data Management Provide product attributes, routing, and manufacturing information required for Oracle BOM setup. Ensure accurate project documentation, change management records, and system data maintenance. Monitor project KPIs and drive corrective actions when performance targets are not achieved. 5. Continuous Improvement Promote Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives within project activities. Perform other duties and special assignments as required.

Qualifications

& Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 2–3 years of project management experience in NPI, product transfer, or manufacturing operations. Experience working in cross-functional and global organizations is preferred.

Skills & Competencies Strong English verbal and written communication skills. Excellent project planning, coordination, and organizational abilities. Strong problem-solving and risk management skills. Ability to influence and drive results through cross-functional teams. Positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and strong interpersonal skills.

Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Familiarity with project management software. Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
