Job Title: Preventative Maintenance Technician Position Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt | 40 Hours per Week (Not to Exceed 9 Months – Seasonal Term) Department: Maintenance Division Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor We are looking for a hard worker to do basic maintenance and repairs at apartment buildings.
Responsibilities
Change air filters and test smoke detectors. Do small plumbing and carpentry fixes (fix leaks, patch drywall). Walk through buildings to check for damage or safety issues. Use a company iPad to track what you fixed. Help clean up and prep vacant apartments. Core Competencies Compliance with HUD NSPIRE and HQS standards Multi-trade maintenance skills Digital proficiency with mobile documentation systems Time management and ability to work independently Team collaboration and communication Professionalism and integrity Requirements Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED One (1) year of building maintenance, construction, or related trade experience Valid driver’s license Ability to operate tablets and mobile applications Ability to follow NSPIRE and HQS protocols Subject to drug screening and background check Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs.
or more Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and work in confined spaces Work Environment Exposure to typical maintenance-related hazards (mechanical, chemical, environmental) Use of required PPE Work may involve deadlines and coordination across multiple properties Employment Terms Seasonal appointment not to exceed nine (9) months May require alternate schedules or emergency response Work performed under general supervision Priority will be given to current residents Paducah County residents.
