Job description
Under direct supervision, the Groundskeeper/Maintenance Technician I performs unskilled to semi‑skilled work in the daily and preventive care, repair, and maintenance of building systems and equipment. Serves as an apprentice and performs basic plumbing, electrical, roofing, flooring, masonry, painting, mechanical, and carpentry tasks.
The Groundskeeper is responsible for the proper maintenance of community grounds and equipment used to maintain a clean, manicured appearance; work involves operating light to medium machinery and using hand tools to prune trees, edge lawns, remove debris, and maintain plantings. As a representative and team member of the environmental services department, this position is expected to present oneself professionally and ensure resident satisfaction.
