Job description

Job Purpose Provide first-line supervision of helipad ARFF firefighting crews, leading safe tactical response, readiness, and team performance in high-consequence aviation environments. Act as unit lead or delegated Incident Commander while ensuring compliance with GCAA/ICAO standards and Jaheziya IMS (ISO 9001/14001/45001).

Key Responsibilities

Lead crew tactics, size-up, task allocation, and safe systems of work under ICS. Maintain readiness of RIV, PPE/BA, foam/agent systems, and medical equipment. Deliver and supervise EMT-B level patient care and documentation quality. Maintain operational records, shift logs, training files, and incident reporting to audit-ready standards.

Conduct drills, coach junior firefighters, and track competency and training currency.

Requirements

4+ years operational firefighting with demonstrable ARFF/helipad experience. Strong aviation firefighting tactics, BA discipline, and crew resource management skills. Experience as acting Incident Commander or Crew Chief is an advantage.

Qualifications

& Certifications (international or equivalent where applicable) NFPA 1001 Firefighter II (or international equivalent) – required ARFF qualification aligned to ICAO Annex 14 / GCAA (or international equivalent) – required NFPA 1021 Fire Officer I (or international equivalent) – required (Fire Officer II or equivalent preferred) First Responder / EMT-B (or international equivalent) – required/preferred per site HAZMAT Awareness/Operations – NFPA 1072/470 (or international equivalent) – required UAE light vehicle driving license (manual) – preferred Additional Requirements Professional English fluency; Arabic is an advantage.
