Overview
Completes advanced research to support the activities of more Senior Analysts and Portfolio Managers. Primary Responsibilities: Initiate, research, and recommend new investment ideas Understand trends in financial markets and impact on current and future investments. Analyze portfolio risks, exposures, and performance drivers.
Participate in development of less experienced personnel. Work with client-facing colleagues to strengthen client relationships and gain new ones. Prepare documentation to communicate portfolio performance, investment options, risks, and pending decisions. Participate in regular meetings and calls to discuss organizational developments, investment strategy, performance and risk.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned. Scope of Responsibilities: Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience Strong understanding of capital markets Current knowledge of the state of the investment management industry Proficient with common industry tools Education and Experience Preferred: Advanced degree Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or progressing toward obtaining CFA designation Highly analytical Research-driven skill set Motivated self-starter comfortable working with senior management M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees.
The pay range for this position is $106,700.00 - $177,900.00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation. Location: Radnor, Pennsylvania, United States of America
