Job description
Healthcare United is seeking a Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Physician to join an established, physician-led private practice serving the Greater New Haven and Connecticut shoreline area. This opportunity offers a strong existing patient base, multiple practice locations, competitive compensation and a clear path toward future partnership and equity.
- Provide outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine care
- Participate in hospital rounding and limited ICU coverage
- Practice across locations in New Haven, West Haven and Guilford
- Manage approximately 20–30 patients per clinic day
- Participate in a shared call rotation anticipated to be approximately 1 in 5
- Perform or coordinate bronchoscopy, thoracentesis and other pulmonary procedures
- Evaluate and manage patients receiving Inspire sleep apnea therapy
- Utilize Epic integrated with the Yale New Haven Health network
- Work with a dedicated medical assistant, respiratory therapists and authorization support staff
- Access 3 pulmonary function testing machines and 3 established sleep laboratories Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease
- Critical Care Medicine and/or Sleep Medicine training strongly preferred
- Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure
- Comfortable with outpatient clinic, hospital rounding and limited ICU coverage
- Experience with bronchoscopy and thoracentesis preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume private practice environment
- Strong clinical, communication and team-based care skills

- Starting salary of approximately $350,000–$375,000
