Window Installer - 1099 Contractor
Job description
If you have experience installing replacement windows, Yankee Home is looking for skilled subcontractor installer crews to support our growing workload in Albany and the Hudson Valley. We currently have more projects than our teams can install and are looking for experienced crews ready to get started right away. Our installer model is piece labor, not hourly.
The more efficiently your crew installs, the more you earn. Based on current volume, crews typically earn $120,000–$180,000 per year depending on productivity. What you get from us: Piece-rate pay: $165–$215 per window, up to $1,000 for bay or bow windows Fast pay cycle: Invoices submitted by Sunday are paid the following Friday Consistent work: Reliable project volume so you can stop chasing leads Materials provided: Wraps, coil, wood, and other materials supplied Administrative support: Our team handles scheduling, paperwork, and customer coordination Schedule: Most installs Monday–Friday with typical morning start times and many jobs completed in one day Additional pay: Lead-safe installs and $100/hr travel pay for travel over one hour (one way) What we need from you: Strong experience with replacement window installation and wrapping windows Your own truck, tools, and a metal brake to bend metal wraps (this is a key requirement) Ability to bend and wrap metal properly, which is a major part of our evaluation General Liability insurance ($1M/$2M) and Workers’ Compensation insurance, even if you do not have employees Lead-Safe Renovator license (or proof you are currently enrolled in certification) Ability to pass a background check and complete a mock installation booth test in our warehouse About Yankee Home Yankee Home Improvement was built on integrity, craftsmanship, and doing the job right the first time.
