QA Automation Engineer

This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone. Our client is a fast-growing fintech company focused on building AI-driven SaaS solutions for small businesses.

Their platform supports business optimization and financial services through scalable multi-tenant technology, and they are expanding their QA engineering team to strengthen automation, testing infrastructure, and platform reliability. LOCATION Fully-Remote | 9 AM – 5 PM EST ROLE OVERVIEW The QA Automation Engineer will own and expand the company’s AI-driven testing framework while leading both automated and manual QA efforts across a multi-tenant SaaS platform.

This role focuses on Playwright automation, AI-powered testing workflows, CI/CD integration, and overall QA process ownership to ensure high-quality product delivery and platform stability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

AI-AUGMENTED TESTING PLATFORM

• Own and extend the Playwright-based end-to-end automation suite.
• Implement AI-powered testing workflows using tools such as Claude and MCP for test generation and auto-fix capabilities.
• Integrate and maintain Jira webhooks for automated Playwright test generation.
• Continuously optimize automated testing performance, reliability, and scalability. TEST EXECUTION & COVERAGE
• Develop and execute automated testing coverage across payment flows, DMN edge cases, business rules validation, and UI consistency.
• Perform manual scenario testing to validate tenant-specific workflows and logic.
• Support UAT testing and release validation processes. CI/CD INTEGRATION & PIPELINE MANAGEMENT
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines across staging and UAT environments.
• Maintain and improve quality gates during deployment and release cycles.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure smooth testing integration within development workflows. QA LEADERSHIP & OWNERSHIP
• Own the end-to-end QA process across the platform.
• Establish QA documentation standards, workflows, and testing best practices.
• Identify and implement improvements to testing processes and automation systems. TEST DATA MANAGEMENT
• Manage multi-tenant test data architecture to ensure isolation, integrity, and consistency across environments.
• Maintain accurate test data and isolated test cases throughout CI/CD workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE - 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, including at least 1 year working with AI-driven testing and Playwright.

• Experience testing SaaS platforms within multi-tenant environments.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered testing tools such as Claude, MCP, or similar technologies.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Docker, multi-environment deployments, and API testing. SKILLS
• Strong expertise in Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, Claude, and MCP.
• Familiarity with Jira and the Atlassian ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of automated and manual testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of multi-tenant SaaS testing, database management, and isolated testing environments.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
