ETL QA Test Analyst- SQL & Data Warehouse

Job Description: ETL QA* Toronto, ON Hybrid (2 days per week in Toronto office is preferred) Role and Responsibilities:

• Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
• Preparing test plans/Strategies, scenarios, scripts or procedures
• Preparing data for testing
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
• Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
• Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
• Create or maintain databases of known test defects
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates MUST HAVE skills and experience:
• QA Test analyst
• 8+ years of experience
• ETL testing experience
• 5+ years of hands on experience
• Database/Backend testing experience (writing and verifying results of medium to high complexity SQL queries)
• Experience writing Unix commands through shell scripting
• In depth knowledge and working experience in Netezza, Sql, Hbase, Kafka and hive.
• Experience working with projects throughout the Agile methodology
• Experience in MS SSIS/SSRS AWS Redshift
• Experience in HP- ALM- Strong prioritization skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong multi-tasking skills covering a wide range of challenges which are independent and distinct 5 “NICE TO HAVE” but not mandatory skills and experience for this requirement:
• Exposure to Cloud/AWS
• Exposure to Visualization tools like Tableau/Power BI
• Knowledge on REST APIs
