Job description
Chief Engineer with bakery experience is responsible for leading all maintenance, utilities, and engineering operations within a bakery manufacturing environment. This role ensures that high-speed production equipment—such as ovens, mixers, proofers, and packaging lines—runs efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime.
They oversee preventive maintenance programs, manage capital projects, and ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, OSHA). The Chief Engineer also leads and develops maintenance teams, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and partners with operations to support consistent product quality and production goals.
