IN Compass Health is building our hospital-based palliative care service at An. Med Medical Center in Anderson, South Carolina. An. Med is a 461-bed, not-for-profit Hospital serving the Upstate South Carolina area since 1908. With our Palliative care team we want our providers to never leave a shift wondering whether you gave that family the conversation they needed, or felt rushed through a goals-of-care meeting that deserved more.

IN Compass understands the importance of palliative care and its impact on the lives of those involved. What Makes This Role Different Monday through Friday, 8-hour days. No nights, no weekends, no call. An average of 5 encounters per day. We've built the caseload around the reality of palliative work — family meetings that run long, symptom management that requires nuance, and the emotional bandwidth this specialty demands.

A true interdisciplinary team. You'll work alongside palliative physicians, chaplaincy, social work, and nursing — not in parallel, but together. Protected time for what matters — documentation, debriefing, and the conversations that don't fit neatly into an encounter.
