DeltaV Automation Engineer 1664 SimoTech requires a DeltaV Automation Engineer to support our client, a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturer based in Co. Louth. In this role, you will be a key member of the Automation Project team, having responsibility for system ownership of DeltaV systems and process automation equipment.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ DeltaV automation experience, preferably in the Life Sciences industry, and will be able to work onsite at a multi-product biotechnology facility using single-use bioreactor technology for batch production.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee DeltaV system and process automation equipment.
- Implementation of change controls.
- Root cause analysis and troubleshooting of automation issues.
- Configuration of bioreactors and associated vessels, chromatography columns and systems, ultrafiltration/diafiltration systems and centrifuges.
- Assist with the creation of documentation including standard operating procedures and detailed design specifications.
- Optimization of DeltaV code and control strategies.
- Configuration of third-party interfaces to DeltaV.
- DeltaV hardware and software project lifecycle management.
- Experience of DeltaV system upgrades.
- Root cause analysis and troubleshooting of automation issues
- Provide automation configuration and sustaining support to other teams. Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- 5+ years DeltaV automation experience.
- On-site experience on pharmaceutical or biotechnology batch automation projects.
- Demonstrable technical, project and interpersonal skills with experience working in a multinational environment.
- Good knowledge of industry standards including S-88 Batch standard and GAMP.
- Good problem solving and communication skills.
