- Consumer to lead Brand Strategy for all Consumer accounts at our mid-sized healthcare communications agency. You are a thought leader who is highly adept and well-versed in the craft of brand experience grounded in the consumer mindset related to health. You have in-depth knowledge of the strategic challenges facing our clients and offer innovative solutions. You are excited by the opportunity to reimagine and redefine strategic standards and offerings across the Agency. You inspire and mentor your direct reports to be fully integrated team members and client advisors on their accounts. You are the conduit to Omnicom Health network partners, bringing new solutions forward to elevate the agencies thinking and to maximize opportunities. You do this all by being the ultimate purveyor of creativity savvy, and hustle - applying it to business, brands, experiences, and connections. Strong executive presence, proven leadership and an innovative mindset are all critical to success.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the connector: Provide leadership and oversight for all consumer strategy efforts, including but not limited to, customer mindset and behavioral data, clinical brand relevance, consumer brand strategy, and customer experience.
- Think holistically: Create and manage high-functioning, cross-specialty teams from across the strategy disciplines to ensure we are thinking holistically. Partner closely with engagement strategy and analytics teams to ensure ideas are cohesively and effectively brought to life to influence consumer behaviors
- Be indispensable: In partnership with agency account leadership, develop strong client relationships by serving as the strategic partner who pushes boundaries without losing the client’s or internal team’s confidence
- Expand beyond the typical: Find the right insights and inspiration needed to sell new thinking
- Go beyond the brief: Deeply understand the clients’ needs and develop robust multifaceted strategies to drive breakthrough consumer creative, ultimately leading to business growth
- Be a catalyst for great creative ideas and help inspire our creative teams to do the best work in the world
- Create new: Partner with engagement strategy and innovation teams to develop inventive approaches for our clients to prototype new ways of connecting with patients and consumers
- Embrace technology: Bring innovation and technology into solutions, engaging OH innovation experts to push our thinking
- Build tools: In partnership with the executive leadership team, input into the agency’s strategic plan and develop and productize offerings
- Be a key growth driver: participate in new business opportunities, generating consumer insights, strategies, and flawlessly delivering a winning narrative for pitches
- Be a voice of authority: Contribute to industry expert opportunities and strategic & creative thought leadership for the agency
- Be a leader: Manage, develop, and inspire your team of consumer brand strategist to perform at their highest level Experience:
- Minimum 15 years prior work experience, preferable at an agency environment and with strategic department (Rx pharmaceutical experience required; consumer strategy experience outside of pharma a plus)
- Significant healthcare experience and strong passion for creating consumer relevance for high-science brands
- Experience in leading efforts across a wide array of brand strategy needs, new business, presentations and workshops
- Proven track record of building out Agency strategic offerings and structure
- Experience managing a team or department required The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
$258,000 - $279,000 Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
