Auburn University’s Office of Communications and Marketing is looking for a talented student writer . In this role, you’ll gain real-world experience, research and write university-level stories , and work alongside communications and marketing professionals every day.

Responsibilities

Interview people from across campus Write news , research and feature stories for Auburn’s website , and print and digital publications Help tell stories about groundbreaking research, academics, the student experience and Auburn traditions Attend and write about events happening around campus Work with photographers, designers and communicators to bring stories to life Pitch your own ideas Learn what it’s like to work in a communications and marketing office Qualifications Enrolled student at Auburn University Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines Major in journalism, communications, public relations, English, marketing or related Desired qualifications: Passion for storytelling I nquisitive and enjoys interview ing students, faculty, staff and alumni Pays attention to the details Ability to take direction and constructive criticism Enjoys working and contributing as part of a collaborative team Why Work at Auburn?
