Job description

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Platform Installation, Upgrades & Configuration

  • Plan and perform regular upgrades and patching of Alteryx.

  • Configure system settings: authentication, permissions, worker settings, connection limits, and gallery options.

  • Ensure high performance through tuning server resources (RAM/CPU/Queue settings).

  • Manage user accounts, roles, and authentication (SAML, Windows AD, built‑in auth).

  • Assign correct permissions for studios, collections, workflows, and data sources.

  • Maintain governance rules for publishing, scheduling, and data access.

  • Backup, Disaster Recovery

  • Licensing & Asset Management

  • Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Support

  • Maintain secure configurations (SSL certificates, encryption).

  • Manage authentication and SSO integrations (LDAP).

  • Ensure audit logging and compliance with company policies.

  • Configure and maintain data connections (ODBC, MONGO,POSTGRE)

  • Manage data source credentials, shared connections, and secrets handling.

  • Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues in workflows.

  • Review logs and long‑running workflows to optimize performance.

  • Collaborate with developers to improve workflow design and runtime efficiency.

  • Adjust worker settings (threads, job concurrency, caching).

  • Workflow Scheduling & Orchestration

  • Manage job queues and ensure optimal load distribution across workers.

  • Configure workflow dependencies and prioritization.

  • Collaboration with Development/Business Teams

  • Support workflow migration from development to production.

  • Create guidelines and best practices for workflow publishing.

  • Provide training and documentation for new users.

  • Design, develop, and optimize Alteryx Designer workflows for ETL, automation, API integrations, and data preparation.

  • Build robust, reusable components: macros (batch/iterative), frameworks, parsing modules, logging templates, and API connectors.
