This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in early years education within a nurturing and structured environment that combines Montessori principles with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. As an apprentice, you'll support the development and wellbeing of children aged 0–5 through structured routines, play-based learning, and hands-on care.

About Cute Kids Montessori: Located in the heart of Herne Hill, Cute Kids Montessori provides care and education for children aged 0–5 in a calm, structured, and stimulating environment.

The nursery blends the Montessori method with the EYFS framework, encouraging independence, creativity, and holistic development. The team is dedicated to delivering high standards of care through personalised activities and nurturing routines tailored to each child’s individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

As an Early Years Educator Apprentice, your duties will include:

• Supporting children through daily routines such as mealtimes, toileting, and nap times.
• Engaging children in age-appropriate play-based learning and structured Montessori activities.
• Encouraging early development in language, literacy, and numeracy through storytelling, rhymes, games, and role play.
• Promoting a safe, stimulating environment where children feel confident to explore and learn.
• Assisting with feeding, changing, and hygiene routines in line with nursery policies.
• Helping to plan and deliver engaging learning opportunities under the guidance of experienced staff.
• Liaising with parents and carers professionally to support children’s learning and care needs.
• Observing children’s development and contributing to assessments and planning. Training and Qualification Details:
• You will work towards achieving the Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, delivered by Professional Training Solutions.
• Your apprenticeship includes on-the-job training, dedicated study time, and support from a qualified tutor and workplace mentor.
• If you do not hold Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths, you may be required to complete Functional Skills as part of the apprenticeship. Entry Requirements:
• A Level 2 qualification in childcare is preferred but not essential.
• A passion for supporting young children and helping them thrive.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
