Ampersand Therapy is seeking a Private Duty School Nurse (PDN) to deliver 1:1 nursing support for a student with medical needs in a school setting in Aurora, CO. In this role, you’ll provide individualized medical care throughout the school day, helping a student safely access their education while supporting their health, safety, and overall well-being.

Why Join Us Competitive pay (Up to $55/hour) + consistent school-year schedule Meaningful, student-centered work with the opportunity to make a direct impact every day W-2 employment with liability insurance included Healthcare benefits* + 401(k) with company match Reimbursement for licensure, CEUs, and professional expenses Mileage reimbursement between sites + referral bonuses Supportive, therapist- and clinician-run company that understands school-based care What You’ll Do Provide 1:1 nursing support for a student with medical needs throughout the school day Monitor and manage chronic medical conditions and student health needs Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and care plans Respond to health concerns and emergencies while following school safety protocols Maintain accurate health documentation and ensure compliance with medical plans Collaborate closely with families, school staff, related service providers, and medical teams Support student participation, safety, and access within the educational environment Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as appropriate What We’re Looking For Active Colorado State RN license School Nursing CDE endorsement (or willingness to obtain) preferred Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check Pediatric, school nursing, or medically complex care experience preferred.
