Job description
Primary function of the server position is to accurately and efficiently take food and beverage orders and delivers these items in a timely manner. Food and wine knowledge is extremely important.• Greet and communicate with the guests in a friendly, courteous manner and offer a beverage within a two minute time frame;• Explain any special offerings from the chef, menu additions or deletions;• Accurately operate the POS system;• Practice proper table maintenance, removing used plates and utensils, keeping table free of debris;• Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the dining room;• Accurately close out the check with the bartender;• Opening and side work is required;• Preparation is a key ingredient in being able to deliver quality service;• Other reasonable duties as assigned.
