General Manager

Quatro Group is partnering with a leading Civil & Construction company on the Gold Coast to appoint an experienced General Manager. The business is firmly established, generating approximately $3M in annual revenue with a strong pipeline of repeat work and a reputation for consistent, high-quality delivery. As the company enters a major growth phase, this role will be instrumental in shaping its next chapter.

What You’ll be doing: Reporting directly to the owner, you’ll have the autonomy to build the team, implement systems, win new work, and professionalise the business. This role offers a genuine pathway to Managing Director, with equity/profit-share potential for the right individual. Your mission is to scale the business to $15M+ revenue within 2–4 years—while strengthening margins, systems, safety, and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day delivery across multiple projects, including resourcing, scheduling, procurement, cost control, variations, WHS compliance, and quality assurance. Business Growth: Proactively drive new revenue through tenders, client relationships, partnerships, and repeat work. Financial Ownership: Manage the P&L, ensuring strong margins, disciplined cost control, and improved cash flow.

Team Building: Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing team across project management, estimating, and site operations. Systems & Process: Implement scalable systems and workflows to support rapid growth without compromising performance. Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with our property development arm to maximise in-house construction opportunities and improve project outcomes.

Performance Tracking: Report on key metrics including revenue growth, pipeline, contract wins, margins, safety, and client satisfaction.

About You

You’re more than an operator—you’re a builder of businesses. You’ve successfully scaled a civil or construction company and understand what it takes to grow revenue while maintaining operational control. Essential: 10+ years’ experience in civil/construction (earthworks, subdivisions, roads, drainage, infrastructure) Proven track record of winning work and driving revenue growth Strong commercial and operational leadership, including P&L ownership Hands-on experience in estimating, tendering, contract negotiation, and client management Relevant qualifications (e.

g.
