Job description

Landeed runs title diligence at scale for banks, NBFCs and enterprise clients across India — multiple states, different laws, different record systems. You’ll lead that function and the team behind it.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Operations Leadwith aminimum & mandatory 10 years of Corporate Legal experience in Banking or Real Estate sectors.The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with hands-on experience managing legal, compliance, and operational frameworks, while also playing a key role inbusiness development and client relationship management.

This role will lead a pan-India legal operations team, oversee multi-jurisdictional real estate transactions, and ensure best-in-class delivery standards across documentation, title diligence, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end legal operations for real estate and banking clients across India.
  • Oversee property documentation,title due diligence,registrations,compliance, anddispute resolution matters.
  • Collaborate with business and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of mandates and client deliverables.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for legal, operational, and compliance processes.
  • Build, train, and mentor a high-performing legal and paralegal team across multiple states.
  • Manage and nurture key relationships with clients, law firms, financial institutions, and government authorities.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on real estate transactions, contracts, and business initiatives.
  • Support business development by structuring deals, drafting proposals, and participating in client meetings.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, including RERA, Transfer of Property Act, Registration Act, Stamp Act, and relevant state-specific land laws.
  • Travel across India as needed to supervise regional operations, client meetings, and registrations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum & mandatory 10 years of Corporate Legal experience in Banking or Real Estate sectors.
  • Read and Write in any one of the following languages: Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Gujarati, Oriya, Telugu, along with Hindi and English
  • LLB (mandatory); LLM or additional qualifications in Real Estate Law preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate laws,property documentation,RERA, andbanking-related legal processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship managementandbusiness development.
  • Proven ability to build and lead large teams across geographies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel pan-India frequently.
