Job Description: Role: Functional Analyst Hybrid role: 1-2 days a week on-site Duration: 12 Months Top 3 Required Skills: Business Analysis Education Domain Knowledge Ellucian or any SIS Functional knowledge Summary: Provide expertise in the discipline of system analysis, design, testing and deployment. Works with other IT Professionals and Business Subject Matter Experts in implementing new systems that meet business requirements and are aligned with IT orientations.

Act as a liaison between Business Subject Matter Experts, technical teams and/or third-party vendors as required. Transform business requirements and conceptual system designs into detailed functional specifications in accordance with design standards and methodology. Evaluates feasibility and provides estimates for tasks and artifacts under own responsibility.

Coordinates team effort in developing, testing and implementing the solution. Operational support during business hours for incidents arising from live systems; investigation and resolution of issues and problems. Deliverables: Develop the following artifacts (not limited to) for hand-off to the development team and/or third-party vendors:

  • Functional specifications
  • Integration specifications, interface designs
  • Functional and integration testing scenarios and test cases
  • Data conversion specifications Skills And/Or Abilities:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence, as well as Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Knowledge and practical experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) principles
  • Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL is a plus
  • Knowledge of Ellucian Banner ERP and its APIs is a plus
  • Knowledge of Zephyr Scale (in JIRA) as a Test management suite, and Service. Now as an ITSM platform are a plus
  • Self-motivated, autonomous and ability to work well with multiple teams in cross functional set-up.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple initiatives and to manage deadlines.
  • Result and client oriented.
  • Demonstrated effective communication, writing, planning and coordination skills.
  • Clear communication (written and verbal)
