Executive Chef | Luxury Boutique Lodge | Zanzibar Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef for a luxury boutique lodge in Zanzibar. This is an exceptional opportunity for a creative and hands-on culinary professional to lead a high-performing kitchen team within a luxury hospitality environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, delivering exceptional dining experiences and maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation and service. Package

- Location: Zanzibar The Role The Executive Chef will take full responsibility for the management of the kitchen, ensuring outstanding culinary standards while driving innovation, consistency and operational efficiency. This role requires a passionate leader who can inspire a team, manage costs effectively and create memorable dining experiences for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all kitchen operations and food production across the property
- Develop and design innovative menus in line with the lodge’s standards and guest expectations
- Ensure exceptional food quality, consistency and presentation at all times
- Lead, train and motivate the kitchen brigade
- Manage stock control, ordering and supplier relationships
- Monitor food costs, budgets and waste management procedures
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene and health regulations
- Maintain efficient kitchen workflows and service standards
- Conduct staff training and performance management
- Collaborate with lodge management to enhance the overall guest experience
- Stay current with culinary trends and introduce creative menu concepts where appropriate Requirements
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef within a luxury lodge, boutique hotel or high-end hospitality environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of international cuisine and contemporary culinary trends
- Proven experience with menu planning, cost control and kitchen administration
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work effectively in a remote hospitality environment
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
