Job description

System Administrator Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive System Administrator to manage and support our IT infrastructure both on-premises and on the cloud. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing endpoints (laptops, Desktops etc), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, print servers, and cloud-hosted servers.

The role also includes ensuring timely patch management and contributing to the centralized setup and maintenance of cloud infrastructure for streamlined IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

Endpoint Management: Monitor, maintain, and secure all endpoints (laptops, desktops) across the organization. Active Directory (AD): Manage AD users, groups, policies (GPOs), and domain services including onboarding/offboarding and access controls. DNS/DHCP Management: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot DNS and DHCP services ensuring seamless IP assignment and name resolution.

Print Server Administration: Manage enterprise print services including installation, configuration, driver updates, and queue management. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud-based servers (e.g., Azure/AWS) for centralized hosting of directory services, DNS, DHCP, and patch management.

Patch Management: Ensure timely patching of OS and applications on all endpoints and servers (both on-prem and cloud) using tools like WSUS, Intune, or third-party solutions. Monitoring & Reporting: Proactively monitor server health, performance, and security; generate regular system and compliance reports. Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation for configurations, policies, patch cycles, and cloud infrastructure.

Collaboration & Escalation: Work closely with IT support teams and escalate issues to OEM/vendors when necessary.

Requirements

6-10 years of experience in a similar System Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer role. Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and Print Server administration. Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS, including deploying and managing virtual servers and services.

Proficiency in endpoint management tools (SCCM, Intune, or similar). Working knowledge of patch management solutions and practices. Scripting skills (Power. Shell, Bash) for automation and task scheduling (preferred). Familiarity with IT security best practices, backup/recovery, and compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, AZ-104, MD-102) are a plus. Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
