Mid-West firm with history that goes back over 75 years looking to add a Project Engineer to their Transportation Team!
Responsibilities
-Oversee and perform assigned engineering designs. -Works with or act as the Project Manager and assigns tasks, schedules, monitors and answers questions of other team members. -QA/QC of assigned tasks to team. -Works on technical, schedule or financial issues and seeks resolution from the Project Manager and/or the client, as appropriate to the situation.
-Assists the Client in bidding or contractor selection when assigned. -Addresses change orders.
- Proposals, including the calculation/estimation of time schedules and costs of the proposed work. -Signs and seals engineering documents as an authorized representative of the company. -Communicates on technical matters with client..
Education
*Professional Engineer certification required -Must have a Bachelor’s (B.S.) or Master’s (M.S.) degree in Civil Engineering. Experience: -5 or more years of related roadway/highway design experience -Roadway and Transportation Project experience is required. -Knowledge of DOT standards and procedures are required. -Must be proficient with a civil design package, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation / Geopak, or Inroads.
