Responsibilities
Provide hands-on electrical support in the areas of process controls, resolving common power system electrical issues, and equipment downtime root cause analysis Complete regular preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment according to established schedules and procedures Use tools, meters, and technology to troubleshoot facility-specific PLC’s, motors, VFDs, and process/support equipment, in accordance with established procedures, guidelines, and regulations Assist with the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment by running/connecting wires, construction panels/control boxes, and performing other tasks in accordance with the NEC, North Dakota Electrical Codes, and NFPA 70E P roactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience OR Associate ’ s Degree or higher in electrical, electro-mechanical, mechatronics, instrumentation or controls in lieu of experience Preferred Qualifications: E xperience with Programmable Logic Controllers (Allen Bradley, Siemens) E xperience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and instrumentation E xperience working with 480V systems Physical Requirements: Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: L ift up to 50 pounds W ork in hot, humid, cold and crowded manufacturing environment Stand, walk, c limb, squat, crouch , reach, grasp, push and pull fo r extended periods
