Job description
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct nursing care to consumers with mental health needs.
Responsibilities include
health assessments, medication administration, documentation, crisis intervention, and implementation of physician orders. The LPN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, supports daily living activities, delivers health education, maintains medication and supply records, and ensures safety compliance. This role requires compassionate communication, accurate clinical judgment, and adherence to agency policies and New York State nursing standards and regulatory care requirements.
