Planning & Estimating Engineers - CNC / Precision Engineering

Key Responsibilities

Analyse customer drawings and specifications to develop accurate estimates Prepare quotations and lead times based on internal capabilities and materials Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to support customer proposals Interpret and understand technical drawings, GD&T, and machining symbols Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers Support continuous improvement and cost-efficiency in quoting and planning processes Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a technically capable team player who understands precision engineering and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Essential: Strong knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes (manual & CNC) Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Confidence working with PCs and business systems Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities Collaborative mindset and professional integrity Desirable: Proven experience in estimating and/or planning within a precision engineering environment Understanding of material and process cost drivers Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems Exposure to fabrication, welding, or special processes such as plating or coating
