KMM Group is looking for a skilled CNC OD/ID Grinding Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team in Hatboro, PA. Relocation assistance is available for this position. This is a role for someone who takes pride in the details. Someone who understands that grinding is not just running a machine, it is reading the part, controlling the process, protecting the customer’s components, and producing tight-tolerance work that supports industries where failure is not an option.

You will work with premium grinding equipment, experienced teammates, and parts that demand focus, craftsmanship, and technical judgment. We offer the option of working 4 ten hour shifts, Monday

Enjoy a long weekend! 🔧 What You’ll Do In this role, you will operate and develop expertise in advanced grinding processes, including: OD grinding ID grinding CNC cylindrical grinding Grinding between centers Chucking OD grinding Chucking ID grinding Non-round grinding Precision grinding for tight-tolerance components Conversational CNC grinding programming Multi-tool grinding setups In-process inspection and quality checks You will operate grinding equipment including: Kellenberger Kel-Vista CNC grinders Kellenberger Kel-Vita CNC grinder with non-round grinding capability Jones & Shipman CNC grinder You will also: Set up and operate CNC grinding machines for precision components Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment Track job time accurately through job clock-in and clock-out Follow scheduled job lists created by the supervisor Work closely with Quality Assurance technicians on critical inspections Handle customer components carefully to reduce scrap and protect high-value parts Maintain a strong focus on quality, efficiency, repeatability, and process control Troubleshoot grinding issues related to setup, finish, size, geometry, and part condition Support continuous improvement, process development, and risk reduction ✅ What We’re Looking For This role is a strong fit for someone who is dependable, curious, hands-on, and ready to learn. Preferred Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience will also be considered Experience with OD grinding, ID grinding, CNC grinding, cylindrical grinding, or precision machining preferred Experience with tight-tolerance manufacturing strongly preferred Familiarity with CNC conversational programming is a plus Experience in medical device, aerospace, defense, contract manufacturing, toolroom, production machining, or precision manufacturing environments is helpful Preferred Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Comfort using precision measuring tools Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability Attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship Ability to work carefully with high-value customer components Willingness to learn advanced grinding techniques Commitment to safety, quality, and process discipline Physical Requirements This position involves shop floor and technical work, including: Standing at machines throughout the workday Walking the shop floor regularly Lifting up to 50 lbs Handling customer components with care Occasional computer use for programming, job tracking, and documentation Using hand tools, measuring tools, and shop equipment as needed ITAR Requirement KMM is an ITAR-registered facility.
