Maintenance Supervisor - FMCG

Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join the Coega, Port Elizabeth team,

• Execute preventative and reactive maintenance activities to ensure equipment uptime
• Support implementation of planned maintenance schedules and TPM initiatives
• Monitor equipment performance and report on downtime and recurring issues
• Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
• Ensure availability of critical spares and assist with stock control
• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of artisans and technicians
• Provide hands-on technical support during breakdowns and maintenance work
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company policies
• Assist in maintaining maintenance records and reporting on KPIs
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency
• Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and disruptions
• Supervise contractors on-site where required Requirements
• Grade 12
• Trade Tested Millwright / Electrician
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a maintenance environment within FMCG manufacturing
• Experience working on high-speed production lines
• Exposure to automated systems, PLCs, packaging equipment, and utilities
• Experience in food manufacturing (preferred)
• Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• Basic proficiency in MS Office
• Valid driver’s license and own transport
• Must reside in the Port Elizabeth / Uitenhage area
• Must be willing to work every second weekend and perform standby duties
