
Lead Software Engineer - Devops
Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and help streamline our development and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, system administration, and automation. They will work closely with our development, operations, and security teams to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability in our continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure to support software applications. • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes and enhance productivity. • Collaborate with software engineers to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and ensure smooth integration of new code. • Automate and improve development and release processes. • Monitor and optimize system performance, identifying and resolving any bottlenecks. • Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible. • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and security in all systems and infrastructure. • Collaborate with the security team to implement best practices and ensure compliance with security standards. • Manage cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premise servers, as needed. • Develop and manage monitoring, alerting, and incident management processes.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role. • Strong background in Linux/Unix administration and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python). • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible). • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions). • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git). • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. • Good understanding of security best practices, monitoring, and incident management.
